During the Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct, Nintendo officially announced the leaked Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Red Edition.
The new model is set to launch on October 6th 2023, and as the leaks stated, is a variant of the OLED with a Mario red outer chassis, red Joycons and a matching red dock. Contrary to the leak however, the console does include a bit of Mario imagery, including a silhouette of the plumber as well as some hidden coins.
Just ahead of Mario’s new adventure, a Mario-themed Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Mario Red Edition will be available in stores on Oct. 6. The system*, along with its two Joy-Con controllers and Nintendo Switch dock, all sport the iconic Mario Red color. A silhouette design of Mario jumps into action on the back of the dock.
