Nintendo of America has announced that the Nintendo Switch is the bestselling video game hardware in the United States during September 2017, according to NPD group.
This is the third consecutive month the Switch has been the bestselling hardware in the US, and the fifth month overall in seven months since its launch in March 2017.
When combined, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, and SNES Classic Edition make up two thirds of video game hardware sales in September 2017 alone.
Nintendo Switch games have been selling well on the NPD software sales charts in September, with Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle from Ubisoft at 7th place, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at 10th, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 11th. Metroid: Samus Returns, which launched on Nintendo 3DS, debuted at No. 8.
