Game Developers Conference 2018 will be held in San Francisco from March 19 to March 23 and once again Nintendo will be a part of it.
In this years GDC, Nintendo will be giving two talks on the development of Splatoon Franchise, as well as, one of Nintendo’s newest IP, ARMS.
The talk “Splatoon and Splatoon 2: How to Invent a Stylish Franchise with Global Appeal” will be given by series Producer Hisashi Nogami. He will share his experiences and lessons learnt from the first and second Splatoon game, and how to create a sequel that is better than the first.
The other talk, titled “‘ARMS’: Building Mario Kart 8 Insights into a Showcase Nintendo Switch Fighter”, will be given by the director of both Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and ARMS, Kosuke Yabuki. Yabuki will share his experience on developing both games, and more importantly how Mario Kart 8 influenced ARMS’s gameplay.
Both talks will give great insight on how Nintendo develops their game and those with the opportunity to be at GDC should really go for them. You can find out more information about the two talks here.
