Nintendo To Permanently Drop Prices Of Some First-Party Switch Games In Hong Kong
Good news for gamers in Hong Kong – Nintendo has announced that it will permanently drop prices for select first-party Nintendo Switch games and DLC, taking effect from June 1, 2025.
The price changes will apply to the Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store in Hong Kong. While Nintendo did not explain why it’s dropping prices, it said that it “monitors market conditions closely”. The list of titles affected by the price drop isn’t known at this time, but it is speculated that most, if not all of them are games that are getting Nintendo Switch 2 Editions and upgrade packs.
While Nintendo regularly revises prices in various markets, especially those in Latin America, this is the first time, possibly in a decade, that they decided to reduce prices for games in their back catalogue.
