Despite a slower 2020, it looks like Nintendo and its contemporaries continued to stay at the top of the TV advertising game throughout last year.
According to VentureBeat, Nintendo emerged as the second biggest spender on gaming TV ads during 2020. Overall, the company accounted for around 28.6% of the industry’s spending, which amounts to around $77.3 million spent throughout the year.
In first place was Sony, which accounted for 40.6% of the industry’s spending on TV ads – or around $110.1 million in spending. Meanwhile, Microsoft came in at third place with $25.4 million in spending – which accounted for 9.4% of the industry’s spending on TV ads.
