Several years ago, Nintendo dived into the mobile world with titles such as Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes and more. Well, here’s an update on how the company’s mobile ventures have paid off so far.
According to mobilegamer.biz and data from Sensor Tower, Nintendo has hit $1.797 billion in mobile lifetime global player spending to date – thanks to Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Mario Kart Tour, Dragalia Lost, Super Mario Run, and Dr. Mario World. Out of these games, Fire Emblem Heroes has been the highest earning title with $983 million in player spending racked up so far. Meanwhile, the lowest earning game is Dr. Mario World with $14 million in lifetime revenue.
In terms of all-time global downloads, Super Mario Run was still the top game with 307 million downloads, followed by Mario Kart Tour with 224 million downloads. In third place is Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp with 65 million downloads and in fourth place is Fire Emblem Heroes with 18 million downloads.
All in all, it looks like most of Nintendo’s mobile ventures have made bank so far – although the recent closure of Dr. Mario World and the upcoming shutdown of Dragalia Lost implies that Nintendo is scaling back some of its efforts and focusing on a smaller pool of games
