Previously, we’ve reported on the Nintendo Switch Game Voucher offer, which essentially lets Nintendo Switch Online members purchase two first-party Switch games for a discounted price of $100. Originally, the offer should have ended yesterday (on 31 July 2019) – but it looks like that deadline only applied to the US.
Apparently, Nintendo Switch Online members in Europe and Japan can still purchase those game vouchers right now. A closer look at the FAQs page of the offer in UK and Japan reveals that there wasn’t an end date like in the US – so it means fans in those countries can still continue to enjoy the steep discount for the foreseeable future!
What’s unclear for now is why only the US had this deadline for the offer, but not the other regions. We imagine that some Nintendo fans in North America might raise their displeasure at this situation eventually.
We’ll keep an eye out on this and report back if anything changes. Stay tuned.
