Last week, Japanese Switch fans got the choice to purchase a cheaper version of the Switch bundle that came without a dock and a charge. However, the bundle was limited to Japan only, leaving fans in other regions high and dry. North American fans who hoped that the same dockless bundle should not hold their breaths though.

In a statement to USAgamer, Nintendo of America said that they have no plans to bring the dockless Switch to the Americas.

Nintendo explained they “have no plans to release this configuration in the Americas.”
