It’s been two days since the launch of Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee worldwide. Although we don’t have sales figures yet, things seem to be looking good.
Mat Piscatella, video game analyst at US video game sales tracker group NPD, said initial reading of ancillary metrics show Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee is selling a little better than what he expected. Piscatella also pointed out the positivity and word of mouth around Pokemon Let’s GO and how it’s leading as the No. 1 game on Twitch.
Piscatella added that the positivity around Pokemon Let’s GO is a “huge relief”, and called the game’s launch the most important for the video game industry in 2018. Now the question is whether Pokemon Let’s GO will continue to sell in December, and how well it will move in the months ahead.
