We have some interesting news about Super Mario Maker 2 today, coming from an official gaming magazine Game Center published by Walmart.
In a section covering Super Mario Maker 2, the Walmart magazine claimed that “power-ups like the Ice Flower” are in Super Mario Maker 2. To be specific, the magazine claimed it’s in the New Super Mario Bros. Wii mode of Super Mario Maker 2:
While the inclusion of the Ice Flower hasn’t been confirmed by Nintendo, there are a few signs what the magazine reported is incorrect. First, there is no “New Super Mario Bros. Wii” mode in Super Mario Maker 2 – it’s New Super Mario Bros. U, the game that came after the Wii version. Secondly, it seems the magazine did not talk about the new Super Mario 3D World mode in Super Mario Maker 2.
Looks like we’ll have to wait and see whether the magazine is correct on this one.
