Oninaki Receives Character Profiles For Lobelia, Leo And The Daemons Zaav & Dia

Square Enix has released new character profiles for Lobelia and Leo, as well as the Daemons Zaav and Dia, as per their roles in the action RPG Oninaki.

Learn more about Oninaki’s sovereign Lobelia and his true born son Leo, who follows her mother with blind devotion. In addition, two of Kagachi’s Daemons – Zaav and Dia – have been introduced.

Oninaki, the upcoming all-new action-RPG developed by Tokyo RPG Factory, will be hitting the Nintendo Switch on August 22.

Lobelia

“As sovereign, I have a duty to protect this realm from harm. And you, the living, bound as you are to life, have a duty to celebrate all creation.”

The sovereign lives a life of isolation, able to trust in none but herselt. Lobelia can seem cold and alof, remaining at a distance from those around her, and seldom appearing before her people. Indeed, many of her subjects would scarcely recognize her at all. To Lobelia nothing is more important than upholding the tenets of reincarnation, and it is clear she will not tolerate even the slightest deviation.

Leo

“If you stand against me, you stand against the sovereign. You stand against the realm itself.”

Lobelia’s right-hand man, and trueborn son. Since his youngest days, Leo has revered Lobelia not as mother, but as sovereign. There are no others Leo trusts, none whom he calls friend – but he has never begrudged her that. Leo follows the sovereign’s words with blind devotion, and pays no heed to anyone else, a fact which has put him at odds with the Watchers.

Dia

A Daemon whose courteous manner and graceful bearing exude an air of refinement. Dia always prioritizes her companions above herself. She still holds distant memories of wandering through the darkness, and a faint light dancing in the palm of a hand. Wielding a crossbow in one hand and a pistol in the other, Dia excels at unleashing a hail of attacks from afar. She can spring into the air, putting distance between herself and her foes, even while maintaining the onslaught.

Zaav

A Daemon with a strong sense of justice and unwavering honesty. Even in death, the inner turmoil Zaav felt in life is evident within him. He still holds distant memories of hatred suffered and deep regrets. Zaav wields spears as he charges into the fray, and he doesn’t flinch at taking a few hard hits. He can also leap into the air, enabling him to attack from land or sky.
