Owen Wilson, Jack Black, Jason Segal, Ed Helms Considered For Sonic Movie While Paul Rudd Drops Out

Yesterday, it was reported that Ant Man actor, Paul Rudd, was up for consideration for a role as a cop in the upcoming Sonic Movie. However, Paramount Pictures has confirmed that they are no longer considering Rudd for the role.

Still, there is not much to be sad about as The Hashtag Show reports that a few big name comedic actors such as Owen Wilson, Jack Black, Jason Segal, and Ed Helms are being considered to take the role of the sarcastic highway patrol cop.

First, we have now learned that Jason Segal, Jack Black, Owen Wilson, and Ed Helms are all being considered for the lead role of Tom, A sarcastic highway patrol cop who befriends Sonic a hyperactive off the walls hedgehog and will likely team up to takedown the evil Robotnik.

Paramount has reached out to us and says that Paul Rudd is no longer in the running for the role of Tom.

The movie is reportedly going to start its production on 30 July 2018 in Vancouver for a budget of $90 million.
