Bandai Namco has announced they will be pulling the plug on Pac-Man 99, the battle royale Pac-Man game that is available for Switch Online subscribers.
Services for the game will begin winding down from August, with the game being pulled from distribution completely on 8th October 2023. Following this date, the game will only be available to players who purchased the paid DLCs (AC-MAN 99 Deluxe Pack or PAC-MAN 99 Mode Unlock), and only the CPU Battle, Blind Time Attack, and Score Attack in offline mode.
- August 8, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET – Discontinued content: Paid custom themes
- September 8, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET – Discontinued content: PAC-MAN 99 Deluxe Pack / PAC-MAN 99 Mode Unlock
- October 8, 2023 at 9:00 p.m. PT / October 9 at 12:00 a.m. ET – Discontinuation of online services for the main game / distribution of the main game and free custom themes
All purchased themes and content will still be available to play and re-download even after the game is delisted.
