Panic Buttion Is Looking To Release A Torchlight II Update For Switch Lite If There Is Enough Player Demand
Torchlight II has just recently launched for the Nintendo Switch, but it seems that Panic Button is now looking to roll out an enhancement update for Switch Lite in the future.
As the game has been developed for current platforms, Torchlight II’s UI is understandably designed to fit the existing Nintendo Switch’s display, giving consideration to both the TV and handheld modes. Now, Panic Button is considering to redesign the UI to fit into a smaller screen once the Switch Lite launches and if there is considerable player demand.
Here’s what Andy Boggs, Panic Button’s Technical Director has to say:
Our UI redesign, which would be the biggest thing that [Switch Lite] would affect, we had to do that pretty early on, as you can imagine. We didn’t know what the exact specs would be at the time that we did that, but we did know that we wanted to maximize what the UI can look like on these smaller screens. We have had the chance to visualize what that’s going to look like on the smaller handheld. In a patch we may go back, and if users find areas that are too small to read on the smaller screen we would probably look at doing an update for those.
It’s good to hear that Panic Button is taking the initiative to further enhance players’ experience. Kudos, Panic Button!
