Today we have a shocking and hilarious report to share with you about the Piranha Plant DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

As you probably know, Piranha Plant was given away as free DLC to customers who purchased Super Smash Bros. Ultimate before February 2019. Those who missed out on the offer could purchase Piranha Plant from the Nintendo eShop at USD4.99.

Despite the numberous number of reminders about the Piranha Plant offer, many people purchased Piranha Plant DLC codes for as high as four times the retail price even before the offer ended.

Here is a screenshot taken by Facebook user Bobby Verbeke on January 30 showing Piranha Plant DLC codes selling for USD19.99 to USD27.95, two days before the offer ended:

It is shocking to see so many ignorant people purchasing these free codes at a high price. At the time of writing, the DLC is going for USD5.99 to USD23.00 on eBay.
