Play Records Of Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee Required To Obtain Gigantamax Pikachu And Eevee In Pokemon Sword/Shield

Earlier today, The Pokemon Company published a new trailer revealing several new Gigantamax Pokemon coming to Pokemon Sword And Shield. However, it seems some of the revealed Gigantamax Pokemon will need a little something extra in order to be caught.

Among the revealed Gigantamax Pokemon were Pikachu and Eevee, who were also featured on the front cover of the latest issue of Corocoro. According to the new trailer, both these Gigantamax Pokemon can only be obtained if players possess play records of Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee, the previous Switch Pokemon titles.

As you may expect, play records for Let’s Go Pikachu will unlock Gigantamax Pikachu, while play records for Let’s Go Eevee will unlock Gigantamax Eeevee. Note that the unlocked Pikachu and Eevee will not be able to evolve in Pokemon Sword And Shield, instead relying on their Gigantamax power.

Check out the full details below, from the official Pokemon website:
