Pokemon Dens And The Y-Comm Feature Introduced In Pokemon Sword & Shield
Over on Twitter, the official Pokemon PR account tweeted-out some valuable info tidbits for Pokemon Sword & Shield.
If you’re curious about those red pillars of light appearing in the Wild Area, well for starters, they are called “Pokemon Dens.” These Dens that release red pillars of light indicate that Dynamax Pokemon are hiding within them. Checking out these Dens will trigger the newly introduced Max Raid Battles.
In addition, the ‘Y’ icon resembling a wi-fi you see in the bottom-left corner of the screen is a feature called a “Y-Comm.” This Y-Comm feature will let players trade Pokemon and have Link Battles both online and in person. By checking the stamp on the Y-Comm screen, players may also join in on Max Raid Battles.
