Earlier this week, The Pokemon Company revealed Gigantamax Charizard, a new form of Charizard debuting in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Charizard is a Pokemon that has receive many different forms over the years. It’s one of the few Pokemon that received two Mega Evolutions in Generation 6, and now it’s getting another Gigantamax form.
Some Pokemon fans were not very happy with how Game Freak has been giving “preferential treatment” to Charizard over the years, and they have made their complains known on the Internet. For instance, the latest Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer that revealed Gigantamax Charizard has 49,000 likes and 15,000 dislikes.
Also made were comments such as:
“Nobody:
Gen10:Mega alolan shiny gigantamax CHARİZARD”
“Goku: That Charizard fellow sure does have a lot of transformations!”
“GF employee: I think I forgot something
GF employee2: if you forgot it it wasn’t that important
GF employee: yeah you’re right
Blastoise, Venusaur and the rest of the generations that aren’t gen 1:”“Nobody:
Game freak: we wanted to give other pokemon a chance to shine
Also game freak: Makes another Charizard form, goes back to Chubby pikachu, and makes meowth a living creepypasta”
“Thing is that’s sad is I love Charizard, Charmander was my first Pokémon but I honestly hate how Charizard gets so much more attention then it deserves, like I’d much rather a gigantamax starraptor then Charizard but let’s me real, GF forgot gen 4 exists”
