Pokemon Fans: Where Were Smash Bros. Fans When Pokemon Let’s GO Leaked?

The Super Smash Bros. community and Internet have been divided over the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leaks, after a Mexican gamer managed to get his hands on a copy of the game two weeks before its official release.

Super Smash Bros. fans have been putting up “apology messages” to Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai to apologize for the leaks, as well as people who are illegally playing pirated copies of the game. These messages have went viral on social media.

But of course, not many people are happy about these “apology messages”. Pokemon fans were very angry with how people were only apologizing for the Smash leaks, whereas there was “zero noise” for Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee, another game that was datamined to death and pirated a week before its official release date.

Some Smash Bros. fans argued that Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee is a remake of the original Pokemon Yellow, so there’s nothing much to be spoiled. On the other hand, Pokemon fans may say that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is just a fighting game and there’s nothing to be upset about the original soundtrack leaking two weeks in advance.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments.
