Mobile analytics firm Sensor Tower has published their report on the state of Pokemon GO’s revenue for the entire 2018.
According to the firm’s report, Pokemon GO has generated USD795 million in revenue in 2018, a 35% increase from 2017. Spending in December 2018 exceeded USD75 million, a 32% increase from December 2017. On average, Pokemon GO made USD2.2 million a day in 2018, an increase from USD1.6 million it generated daily in 2017.
Players in the United States contributed to 33% (USD262 million) of all revenue in 2018, followed by players in Japan at 30% (USD239 million). There was no change in terms of the spending percentage of US players between 2017 and 2018. Japanese spending increase from 25% in 2017 to 30% in 2018.
With 2018 finally coming to a close, Pokemon GO has made USD2.2 billion in its entire lifetime. It’s expected to hit USD3 billion by the end of 2019.
