Sensor Tower has released a summary of the top earning mobile games for 2020, revealing more details about how Pokemon GO performed this year.

According to their updated figures, Pokemon GO earned a total of $1.2 Billion in 2020, a 31.5% increase from its earnings in 2019. Not only is this Pokemon GO‘s best year ever in terms of earnings, it was also the 3rd best performing mobile game overall in terms of revenue.

Sensor Tower attributes Pokemon GO‘s strong performance this year to the updates released to help users keep playing through the global COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns.
