Earlier this week, we reported on changes that Niantic made to Pokemon GO that encouraged players to stay indoors – especially in light of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Well, it looks like those small changes have paid off, as the game is still staying afloat in this trying time!
Sensor Tower has released new data on the mobile AR game, which shows that it actually enjoyed a boost in player spending since last week. The highlights of this data are below:
- Player spending reached $23 million in the week of March 16, 2020.
- This was a 66.7% increase from the past week.
- US players contributed 34% (or $7.8 million) of this total.
