The Pokemon Company has announced the release date for Pokemon HOME‘s Scarlet/Violet compatibility update.
From May 24th 2023, players will finally be able to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon HOME to Pokemon Scarlet/Violet and vice versa. Players who do so will receive a Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly with their Hidden Abilities. This update will also allow players to transfer Roaming Form Gimmighoul into the games.
In addition, this update will add a variety of new features to the app, including the ability to exchange HOME points for League Points, as well as change your Pokemon’s moves within the app. Stay tuned for more details as they come.

[Update]: An official English press release has been posted, which details the additional features that will be added to Pokemon HOME after this update.
- Pokemon from Scarlet And Violet can be transferred over to previous Pokemon games on Switch, provided they appear in those games.
- For example, a Pikachu from Scarlet/Violet can be transferred to Sword/Shield, but a Sprigatito cannot.
- Tera Types of Pokemon transferred to Scarlet And Violet from other games will be based on their original type.
- Pokémon HOME Points can be converted to League Points in Scarlet And Violet
- Players will be able to change the details page of their Pokemon to display information based on the games that Pokémon has been transferred to.
- When transferring a Pokemon from Pokemon HOME to another game, players will be able to change its moves according to the ones it knew previously
- These moves are limited to moves that can be learned in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl (some moves excluded), Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
