Pokemon Quest, a brand new exploration RPG developed by Game Freak and released last week on Nintendo Switch, has been hacked wide open by cheaters.
A save data editor has been released by someone in the homebrew community in just 5 days after the game’s release, allowing cheaters to read and write their Pokemon Quest save files. What this means is anybody with a hacked Nintendo Switch can max out the items, Pokemon, and tickets they have.
This is certainly not a good development for Pokemon Quest, since it’s a free to play game supported by microtransactions. The arrival of this save editor may affect the game’s profitability. Hopefully Nintendo will figure out a way to stop this and punish the cheaters.
