Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Community Assigns Link Codes For Trading Version Exclusive Pokemon

If you play Pokemon Scarlet And Violet, chances are you may be having some difficulty completing the Pokedex due to missing Version Exclusive Pokemon or the starters you didn’t pick.

To help players with this task, Youtuber Austin John Plays has tapped on his community to assign specific link trade codes for trading Version Exclusive Pokemon and starters. Pokemon Scarlet And Violet allows players to set “Link Codes” during trades if they want to make sure they connect to a specific user.

By assigning specific Link Codes for specific trades, players will hopefully have an easier time finding a person willing to trade the Version Exclusive or Starter they are looking for.

  1. Connect to the Internet by pressing “L” on the pause menu.
  2. Access the Poké Portal.
  3. Select “Link Trade”
  4. Enter desired code from the above Tweet and begin searching
  5. When paired with someone be sure to check and see if they have the Pokémon you want, if not, repeat until desired result.

You can check out a list of codes proposed by Austin John Plays below, along with a video explaining how it works:

Although the trades might not always work out, this is likely the fastest way for players without access to both versions of the game to complete their Pokedex until Pokemon HOME compatibility arrives next year.
