Since the release of Pokemon Sword And Shield, the mainline games in the Pokemon series have started limiting the number of monsters that are programmed into the game, making it impossible to have all 900+ Pokemon in the same game.
As reported by Pokemon fan site Serebii, it seems the upcoming new entries Pokemon Scarlet And Violet will be no different in this regard. On the official website for the games, under the section detailing transferring Pokemon from Pokemon HOME, there is a short disclaimer stating that the Pokemon that can be transferred are “limited to the Pokemon that appear in each software”, suggesting that the new games will not have every single Pokemon coded within.
Although this news will likely come as no surprise to most, others might still find this continued trend a bit disappointing. We will be sure to report back with the full list of all available Pokemon in the new games as it comes.
