Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Update Patch Announced For Late April 2023
The Pokemon Company has announced a new version update for Pokemon Scarlet And Violet.
This update is due to arrive sometime in April 2023, and will bring with it a fix for the bug that caused some players to catch Bad Eggs instead of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. Alongside this update will be a second run of the aforementioned event, which will give these players another chance to get the two Pokemon. A number of other fixes will reportedly be included.

At the time of this writing, it is not known if the recently discovered Save Data bug will also be fixed by this patch. According to Serebii.net’s site owner Joe Merrick, The Pokemon Company is aware of the bug, but the exact cause seemingly remains a mystery. Merrick also reports that members of the Pokemon community knowledgeable about bugs and glitches are still unable to replicate the error, meaning its likely that Game Freak’s developers will face similar difficulty investigating the issue.
I, and many others including friends who are far more skilled than I at this sort of thing, have been trying everything to replicate it to no avail. With us being unable to, I imagine Nintendo and GF would also be working to narrow it down.
Patience is needed

So often with a new patch or a new game, we get reports about something causing save corruption. We had it with SV, SWSH, Smash and so many other games and they went away or were explained away by things (SD cards etc.).
We just need to be patient and hopefully an answer comes— Joe Merrick (@JoeMerrick) March 10, 2023
Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
