Earlier this week, it was rumored that a prominent Switch 2 leaker from China had gotten their hands on a real Switch 2 unit, supposedly from the black market.

Now, the same leaker has shared more details about the deal. Over on the social media platform Xiaohongshu (via Reddit), the leaker reportedly shared a DM conversation they had with a black market seller, who told them that the Switch 2 unit, joy-cons, and dock will cost nearly $40,000 to acquire.

The leaker was previously reported to be shopping the Switch 2 unit to accessory manufacturers, who would likely be interested in using it as a base to refine their Switch 2 accessory designs. Presumably, it would be sufficient to turn a profit worth the exhorbitant amount the leaker paid.

That said, as with all reports of this nature, we caution readers to take this info with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
