Pokemon Sword And Shield Users Are Now Getting Banned For Disconnecting From Matches On Purpose

Last month, The Pokemon Company announced that they will not hesitate to ban Pokemon Sword and Shield players who disconnect from online matches on purpose to manipulate their online rankings.

In the first week of May, several Japanese players who disconnected their game on purpose have been banned from online play. We leave you with a couple of photos they shared below:

“Error code: 2124-5114

This Nintendo Account has been banned from accessing the network services of this software”

Hopefully this should serve as a warning to those who intend to play unfairly online.

What do you think?
