Pokemon Sword And Shield Uses Recycled Animations From 3DS Games

A huge piece of news about the animations in Pokemon Sword and Shield have surfaced on the Internet.

Fans of the Pokemon series have been comparing gameplay footage of Pokemon Sword and Shield as well as footage from past Pokemon games on Nintendo 3DS. Upon comparing the animations of various Pokemon, they have come to the conclusion that Game Freak had reused animations in the 3DS games for Pokemon Sword and Shield.

For instance, the animations for Wingull, Bunnelby and Machoke are exactly the same:

This revelation has stirred anger among some in the Pokemon community, as Game Freak initially used quality of graphics and amount of animations as an excuse for culling the number of Pokemon appearing in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

What do you think?
