Earlier today, The Pokemon Company released its second episode of the Pokemon Twilight Wings web anime – which featured gym leader Bea. Well, here’s another treat for Bea’s fans in the Pokemon community!

Yōjirō Arai, the director and storyboard writer behind this second episode, recently revealed his role in bringing Bea and her Pokemon party to life. Along with this, Arai shared a special illustration featuring the gym leader, Machamp, Machoke, and Machop in a group shot.

If Arai’s art style in this piece seems a little familiar to some – it’s because he worked with Studio Ghibli in the past! Namely, he was an in-between animator for films like The Wind Rises (2013) and The Secret World of Arrietty (2010).
