Nintendo Co., Ltd., Creatures Inc., and Game Freak Inc. have applied for a trademark of Poketoon in Japan.
As many of you may be aware, “Poketoon” is the name of an official vintage “rubbe-hose” style short animation that was published on Youtube earlier this month. The new trademark application encompasses 311 different products and services, including not only related to broadcast programs, but also videogames as well as merchandise.
Presumably, the large amount of products and services covered suggests that the Pokemon Company has a lot more in store for the Poketoon brand aside from one single animated short film. We will be sure to bring more details as they come.
