Popular Smash Bros. Youtuber Etika Suffers From Mental Breakdown, Is Now Safe

We have some very disturbing news to share with you today about popular Super Smash Bros. and Nintendo Switch Youtuber Etika.

Etika, an extremely charismatic Youtuber with over 800,000 subscribers, started acting erratically a few days ago. First, he removed all of his videos on his Youtube channel, and uploaded a strange video where many said he was undergoing a mental breakdown.

Around the same time that video was uploaded, Etika told friends and followers on his personal Facebook account that he was fine and everything would be explained in the future. During that time, fans of Etika speculated he could have been acting this out as part of an ARG (Alternate Reality Game). But things changed in the last ten hours.

Etika’s official Youtube channel was banned, and his personal Facebook profile has been taken down. He also posted a disturbing message on Reddit with the title “it’s my turn to die”, thanking fans for their support in the last 6 years:

Etika’s ex-girlfriend, TheAlicePika, has come out to say that Etika has been suffering from a mental disease but did not seek help due to lack of time. She said “it wasn’t a joke”. Thankfully, close friends and family have confirmed that he is now safe. We hope he will seek treatment soon.
