It looks like more of Japan’s bizarre and sultry ideas will be coming out of the woodwork again on Nintendo Switch.
In the latest issue of Famitsu, Developer Qureate revealed Prison Princess – a “new sensation escape adventure game with beautiful girls, puzzle solving, and a bit of eroticism” for Switch. The game will see a launch via the Japanese Switch eShop on 30 January 2020, for 1,800 yen.
Based on Gematsu’s translation of the article, the game will see players as a disembodied hero after getting killed by a Demon King. In this form, they won’t be able to interact with the physical world, but can guide two captive princesses to make their escape from a dungeon of various traps and puzzles.
According to Qureate, the game is currently 92 percent complete. You can see the entire reveal of the game below, in more detail (click to enlarge):
For now, there are no plans for the game to head west. We’ll report back if we hear anything new in the future.
