With The Nintendo Switch being able to support quite a number of upcoming AAA titles, Rainbow Six Seige fans may be asking for the game to appear on the Nintendo Switch. However, fans should not be holding their breath for it.
Speaking to Metro, Rainbow Six Siege’s Brand Director, Alexandre Remy, said that the Switch’s technical power is insufficient to keep the game running smoothly.
‘‘[It’s] not possible with the technical constraint and especially the frame rate of the game; 60 frames per second plus destruction is a bit CPU heavy and Switch is not yet the Nintendo console where it’ll be.”
While some developers have chosen to lower the frame rate for their games in the Nintendo Switch, it would seem that Ubisoft would much prefer keeping the Rainbow Six Siege at 60FPS than on the Switch.
