Random: Logan Paul Wears Pokemon Card Valued At Almost $1 Million To Wrestlemania Match

Over the past few years, Pokemon Trading Cards have become an extremely lucrative commodity, with many collectors bidding hundreds of thousands of dollars for rare cards and going to equally extravagant lengths to display and show off their collections.

Perhaps as a testament to how widespread the phenomenon as become, internet personality Logan Paul recently wore a rare Pokemon card valued at nearly $1 Million to a match at this year’s Wrestlemania event. For those who may not be familiar, wrestling stars typically bring some of their most extravagant and expensive accessories to show off at matches, especially if doing so forms a major part of their persona.

The specific card Logan Paul is wearing is a the extremely rare Pikachu Illustrator card, one of which was recently put up for auction at $900K. Furthermore, Logan Paul’s copy has a grading of PSA Grade 10, and is the same card that grabbed him a Guinness World Record for most expensive Pokemon TCG card sold in private sale. As detailed by Guinness, Paul forked out a little over $5 million for the PSA Grade 10 version of the card, broken down into $4 million in cash and a PSA Grade 9 copy of the same card he purchased previously.

The card can be seen more clearly in the image above as well as in the WWE’s Tweet below:

Although it may seem strange to some that Logan Paul is using a Pokemon card of all things as a symbol of his wealth instead of diamonds or gold, it is perhaps not only fitting due to his status as an internet celebrity, but also a testament to just how big the Pokemon TCG has become in recent years.
