Random: PS5 Game Anime Life Sim Looks Eerily Similar To Animal Crossing
Five years ago, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released on the Switch, taking the world by storm and becoming one of the best-selling games on the platform.
Now, a new game has surfaced on the Playstation 5 store seeking to capitalize on that success. As shared by Good Vibes Gaming , the game is titled “Anime Life Sim”, and is not only part of the same genre, but lifts design aesthetics and concepts directly from New Horizons, including animal themed NPCs, furniture and crafting systems, catching bugs, and more.
Aside from ripping off the look, Good Vibes Gaming also believes that AI generation was used during the design process, pointing to oddly shaped furniture items and mismatched eyes amongst other odd elements.
To top it all off, the developer “Maksym Vysochanskyy trading as IndieGames3000” is infamous for distributing asset flips and other copycat titles, including one for Monster Hunter that was eventually taken down. Many of the developer’s “games” such as Anime Girls Military Strike and Rainbow Ascend: Anime Girls Go Up are also present on the Switch eshop, albeit listed under a different publisher.
Anime Life Sim is currently slated to release on Playstation in 2026, but it seems unlikely that Nintendo will just let this slip by without any legal action.
