After Nintendo announced it has sold 10 million Nintendo Switch consoles worldwide, Nintendo of America COO and President Reggie Fils-Aime spoke to CNET about what the company thinks of the Switch’s success.

Reggie told CNET the company believes the Switch is one of the fastest selling consoles in Nintendo’s history and in gaming history. As to what made the Switch such a big hit, he attributed its success to its affordable price point (USD300) and portability.

Before the interview ended, Reggie said Nintendo will continue to ship the Super NES Classic Edition to stores in 2018, with “lots more for consumers soon”.
