May 8, 2025 is going to be an important day for industry watchers, investors, and Nintendo fans as Nintendo will share their earnings release for the 2025 fiscal year.

The company usually shares their plans and projections for the next fiscal year every May. We can expect Nintendo to share their projections for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch hardware and software for the next fiscal year, and have a better idea on how they plan to ramp up production of the Switch 2 to meet demand.

We will also be able to tell how the Switch has performed in the last fiscal year in terms of hardware and software. It is very likely the Switch (150.86 million) will come extremely close to surpassing lifetime Nintendo DS hardware sales (154.02 million).
