Famitsu has published the video game sales rankings for Japan from the period of January 27 to February 2, 2020.
Ring Fit Adventure continued to maintain its strong sales from last week – which allowed it to top the sales charts with 30,111 units sold. This places its lifetime sales at 652,757 units to date in the country alone! Meanwhile, Pokemon Sword/Shield trailed closely behind with 29,429 copies sold this week.
In total, 8 out of 10 of Japan’s bestsellers this week were Nintendo Switch titles such as Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! In terms of hardware, Nintendo also continued to rule supreme with over 54,000 Switch consoles and 21,000 Switch Lite units flying off shelves.
