Last month, Nintendo announced a new sports game called Nintendo Switch Sports, and held a brief online test play where players could try out the game before its official launch.
Although Nintendo imposed a number of restrictions to ensure that footage from the test play would not be leaked to the general public, this apparently did not stop dataminers from diving into the game to uncover hidden secrets.
According to dataminers ‘Wipeoutjack7‘and ‘ToyConGarageVR‘, Nintendo Switch Sports contains additional references to two unannounced mini-games: Dodgeball and Basketball. As these two games were not among the lineup of mini-games in Switch Sports’ initial reveal, it is believed that Dodgeball and Basketball are either planned for a future update, or were perhaps just scrapped content.
At the time of this writing, the official release of Nintendo Switch Sports is quite far off on April 29th, leaving some room for things to change on the backend. Stay tuned for more information as it comes.
