Dataminers have discovered an interesting new mode or mechanic that could potentially be coming to Pokemon Unite, along with some new playable Pokemon.
The discoveries were shared by dataminers ElChicoEevee and Sobbleunitedtm on Twitter. Firstly, they found evidence that Wild Pokemon such as Araquanid, Electrode, and even Zapdos may potentially become playable in the future, either via a brand new mode or possibly a new game mechanic. The Wild Pokemon have less skills available compared to fully-fledged playable Pokemon, but icons and programming for them are already available in the game’s data accessible via hacking as seen below:
Next, renders for new additions to the playable Pokemon roster were discovered. Specifically, they are renders for the Kalos region Fire Starter Delphox, along with the Psychic-Type Eeveelution Espeon. According to internal data, Espeon is planned to be released on 16th May, while Delphox is planned to be released on 9th June.
As with all datamines of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt, as internal plans may always change before official launch. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
