Rumor: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Could Appear In The Sonic Movie Sequel
Last week, the Sonic The Hedgehog live-action movie was released in theaters, where it received massive box office success.
Given its positive reception, its no surprise that rumors have been circulating around about a possible sequel. Speaking at FAN EXPO in Vancouver, actor Neal McDonough (who plays Major “Nobody Cares” Bennington in the film), shared one rumor he heard about a possible casting for the Sonic Sequel:
“I’m looking forward to part two, literally, part two, I’ve already heard rumblings that The Rock is going to be [in it]. The Rock is in part two of everything, by the way.”
Although McDonough could have been poking fun at how Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is often cast in film sequels, its not entirely far-fetched. After all, The Rock did receive a shoutout in one of the Sonic movie’s scenes, and he himself has confirmed that he’s a fan of the franchise.
So crazy I used to love playing Sonic in college. Many moons later this…
life can be so damn wildly unpredictable and surreal at times. 🤯 https://t.co/2aim2sv88O— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) December 15, 2019
