Two years ago, Microsoft discussed plans to put Call Of Duty on the Nintendo Switch, guaranteeing they would do so after they successfully acquired Activision Blizzard.
Now, rumors have surfaced that they will finally be making good on this promise. According to industry insider and Executive Editor at Windows Centra Jez Cordon, the first Call Of Duty title for Switch is “nearly done and launching in a few months”. He unfortunately did not provide any further specifics, such as whether this is a port of an existing Call Of Duty or a brand new entry entirely.
This news comes after Sledgehammer Games, one of the studios that makes Call Of Duty, put out a job listing for developers with “AAA mobile or Nintendo Switch” experience. Both these findings combined present good evidence that a Call Of Duty could actually be in the works for the Switch, or more likely, the Switch 2.
That said, as with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take this with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
