Last month, Nintendo announced they would be hosting a Nintendo Direct presentation in June 2024, discussing upcoming Switch games for the rest of the year.
Now, the date of the direct may have been leaked. This rumor comes as a result of a now-deleted Gamespot article, which shared a trailer for an upcoming DLC for Among Us that was supposed to be released on June 18th 2024. Fans believe that this update was meant to be revealed during the Nintendo Direct, by extension meaning that the full presentation was being planned for June 18th 2024.
In addition, some fans noticed that the Switch Online service has planned maintenance on June 17th 2024, which would coincide nicely with the Direct if it happened the day after.
As with all speculation of this nature, we caution readers to take this with a grain of salt, as its equally likely that the Among Us update is unrelated to any presentation by Nintendo, and was meant to be a surprise announcement on that day for all platforms. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
