Some new rumors have surfaced regarding the next expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket.

The info comes via the leaker formerly known as Pyoro, who has shared accurate info about unannounced projects in the past. In response to a X/Twitter post where he accurately predicted the limitations for Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s trade feature, Pyoro drops the following cryptic messages:

A2 = Gen 4

Q: When is A2 dropping?

A: 30

For those who are not aware, “A2” is a reference to the numbering system for expansions used by Pokemon TCG Pocket, with the current Genetic Apex expansion being “A1” while Mythical Island is “A1a”. Fans have interpreted Pyoro’s hints to mean that the “A2” expansion will be themed on Pokemon from the Gen 4 Sinnoh Region, and will release on January 30th 2025.

In addition, Pyoro also briefly mentions Pokemon Legends Z-A, claiming he has heard some things about the game, but not about any upcoming trailers:

I’ve heard some info about the game, but I haven’t heard about a trailer.
