Pokemon fans around the world could be getting even more movie action, after the Detective Pikachu film launches this year.
According to news site We Got This Covered, sources have claimed that Legendary Pictures is also adapting Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue into a standalone film. Allegedly, this rumored movie will take place in the same universe as the Detective Pikachu film.
However, the rumor did not specify any hints about the film’s possible story.
Previously, we also reported on a rumored Detective Pikachu spin-off film, which may feature an infamous Pokemon as its villain. If these rumors are all true, it is possible that Legendary Pictures is looking to set up some type of ‘Pokemon Cinematic Universe’ in the future.
As with all unverified rumors, we urge fans to take this information with a pinch of salt. We’ll report back if we learn anything new.
