Rumor: Manufacturing Company CEO Claims Switch 2 Releases March 2025
For the past few weeks, several leaks and rumors have been swirling about Nintendo’s previously announced Switch successor, fueling hopes that an official reveal may be imminent.
Speaking with Spanish publication Vandal, the CEO of the video game accessories and peripherals company Blade made some big claims about the console based on what he has heard in his industry. According to him, the “Switch 2” is already complete, and is poised to release in March or April 2025. His other claims about the console include the following:
- Aiming at a worldwide release with enough supply to satisfy demand.
- The leaked model is obsolete but not dissimilar to the final unit.
- The analogue sticks will be shaped differently (not compatible with the current analogue stick covers, nor will be possible to manufacturer new covers).
- Joy-cons are magnetic with a “locking system” to keep them attached to the console
- Price could be “higher than the current Switch” but “lower than current generation consoles
As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
