Several years ago, Warner Bros. and Mojang announced they were working on a live-action Minecraft movie, which they have been quietly working on in the background since.
Now, some new images and plot details for the film have seemingly leaked online. The images were initially posted on the 4chan imageboard, spreading rapidly on X/Twitter and other social media outlets before being swiftly taken down via copyright strikes. The images show off uncanny blocky 3D designs for the Creeper, Bee, and Pig mobs, as well as shows actor Jack Black in his Steve costume, complete with a blue shirt and diamond pickaxe.
The leaked plot details claim that the film will see Jack Black’s Steve captured by an evil entity called Malgosha, requiring him to be rescued by “four fresh visitors” to the Minecraft world. Presumably, these four will be the main heroes that audiences will follow throughout the film.
As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
