The Game Freak hackers have shared an interesting tidbit of info about Pokemon‘s iconic mascot Pikachu.

According to some leaked files, Pikachu is set to receive a major redesign for the next Pokemon game, which is codenamed “Gaia”. This redesign will bring Pikachu’s 3D model to be more in line with how it looks in the company’s latest branding, with a rounder head and skinnier body.

As seen in the second image of the gallery, Pikachu might not be the only Pokemon receiving a facelift. The Charizard model seen in there also has a slightly updated appearance, possibly hinting that all Pokemon featured in the new game will have new models.
